The plain of Can Morgat, next to l’Estany de Banyoles, hosts a group of lagoons restaured thanks to a project that allowed the recovery of the area and the return of aquatic life, disappeared long ago because of the wetlands were dried of for agricultural use.
During the morning of Saturday May the 16th we invite you to come and know the beautiful surroundings of the Can Morgat lagoons and participate in the reintroduction of the pond turtle, a native species in danger of extinction. Organized groups will help us to make a census of turtles; build and review traps, check nest boxes for birds, and finally, releasing five pond turtles in the lagoon Artiga Can Morgat.
