The 7th Environment Conference in Girona, which took place on 14 and 15 March at the Espai Marfà, hold four presentations on the project LIFE Potamo Fauna "Conservation of river fauna of European interest Natura 2000 basins of the rivers Ter and Muga” by staff from Consorci del Ter and Consorci de l’Estany. About one hundred people participated.

The presentations were as follows:

- "Presentation of LIFE Potamo Fauna" by Quim Pou, technical coordinator of the project, Consorci de l’Estany.

- "Control of invasive tortoise in the river Ter in the framework of the LIFE Potamo Fauna" by Gerard Dalmau, Consorci de l’Estany.

- "Conservation captive naiads under the LIFE project Potamo Fauna" by Carles Feo, Consorci de l’Estany.

- "Creating temporary ponds in the River Ter under the LIFE project Potamo Fauna" by Ponç Feliu and Teia Puigvert, Consorci del Ter.

The conference is aimed at the scientific, university students, high school students and others who want to present projects or research on the environment and surrounding Girona, as well as people interested in the topic who what to know more actions carried out recently in the city on the environment.

The seminars are organized by the City of Girona in co-operation with other organizations and agencies.
