C.11 – Creation and implementation of a mobile station for disinfection zebra mussel boats in Banyoles
The area of LakeBanyoles, by their morphological characteristics of water quality, ecological, uses and activities that take place, is one of the most threatened water bodies in the region to the expansion and colonization of the zebra mussel. Therefore, we must take action to prevent this decisive biological possible invasion.
As part of this operation a boat disinfecting station will be installed in the reception of Banyoles Swimming Club are, that means a space for maintenance work, input and output these devices.
EXPECTED RESULTS
The main aim is to have a mobile station for disinfecting boats, so that we will be able to control during the whole project the boats having to enter water bodies of the natural BanyolesLake from other geographical areas. During the project will we control an approximate volume of 900 boats per year.
