This spring the project LIFE Potamo Fauna has organized five lectures and activities for specific groups that play an important role in the prevention of invasive species in the basins of the rivers Ter, Fluvià and Muga. The aim is to prevent the introduction of zebra mussels, as well as new species of crayfish and exotic terrapins. A total of 34 people have participated on them. The talks have been in charge of the technical team of the LIFE Potamo Fauna.

Some talks have focused at Rural Agents. In particular, the first one was done in Banyoles to members of the Ripollès, Garrotxa, Pla de l'Estany, La Selva and Gironès, and the second one took place at Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park, where members of the Rural Agents of Alt Empordà and the Baix Empordà, staff of the Natural Park of Aiguamolls and Cap de Creus, and members of the association APNAE (Amics del Parc Natural dels Aiguamolls de l’Empordà) and the Centre the Fauna they all were present. The Rural Agents is of great importance because it is a professional group that spent many hours in the field, to intercede and interact with many different groups and they are good experts in terms of environment.

Moreover, there was a talk with companies of nautical activities, which placed special emphasis on species that can be introduced through the kayaks. There have also been two actions, a talk with mayors and councillors in the area of the reservoir of Susqueda where there are plans to begin to practice nautical activities with companies and organizations, as well as two volunteer activities to control invasive fish, crayfish and terrapins.
